Kiwi Camara, Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Director

Kiwi Camara founded DISCO in 2013 with a vision to help legal professionals deliver the highest quality of services more efficiently through technology that enables lawyers to focus on the practice of law. Bringing together great engineering and a deep understanding of what lawyers do and how they work, Camara has led DISCO to become one of the only publicly-traded legal technology companies today.

With products and services that apply artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing to help lawyers and legal teams improve outcomes for their clients, Camara has built a company that creates solutions to modernize the practice of law. Under his leadership, DISCO was recognized as one of the 2019 and 2020 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 and the 2020 and 2021 Forbes Cloud 100. In 2021, Camara was recognized by the Austin Business Journal as Best CEO, Public Company, and as a Top CEO by The Austin Chamber of Commerce’s Greater Austin Business Awards. He was also one of the Top 50 SaaS CEOs of 2020 by The Software Report.

Camara earned his J.D. at age 19 from Harvard Law School, clerked for Judge Harris Hartz of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, was a Ph.D. student in economics at Stanford, taught corporate law at Northwestern, and was a founding partner of Camara & Sibley LLP in Houston.

Tom Furr, Chief Marketing Officer

Chief Marketing Officer Tom Furr owns strategy and execution across brand, communications, demand generation, sales enablement, field marketing, digital and performance marketing, creative, and communities. In this role, Tom further secures DISCO’s reputation as a technology leader and innovator while establishing legaltech as a fast growing and socially important technology category.

With a career built on driving large scale brand transformation, simplifying and organizing product and brand portfolios and driving category awareness, Tom previously served as the vice president of brand marketing at MongoDB, where he was responsible for how MongoDB shows up in the world. Previously, he was vice president of brand at Vonage, where he helped lead the company's transformation into a leader in the business cloud communications and APIs.

Jignasha Grooms, Chief Human Resources Officer

Jignasha (Jig) Amin Grooms joined DISCO in 2022 and is the company's executive vice president and chief human resources officer (CHRO). Overseeing all HR functions, Grooms leads the company’s recruitment, learning and development, performance management, diversity, equity and inclusion, and corporate social responsibility efforts as DISCO rapidly scales globally to meet the growing worldwide demand for technology that delivers better legal outcomes.

Grooms — who was named the 2021 Gold GLOBEE “Human Resources Executive of the Year” — has led human resources departments globally and trained teams to foster diversity, equity and inclusion at some of the world’s leading technology companies including Dell, Cisco Systems and, most recently, Epicor Software. With more than 20 years of experience in the information technology industry, Grooms also holds a law degree from the University of Miami.

Michael Lafair, Chief Financial Officer

Michael Lafair has served as our Chief Financial Officer since January 2018. Before joining our company, Mr. Lafair served as the Chief Financial Officer of Offers.com from November 2012 until its acquisition by Ziff Davis, LLC in December 2015. Following the acquisition, Mr. Lafair served as Global Head of Finance, Ziff Davis B2B until January 2018. Prior to Offers.com, Mr. Lafair served as Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel of All Web Leads, Inc., as well as Vice President and General Counsel of Interlogix, Inc. Mr. Lafair earlier in his career practiced corporate law at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. Mr. Lafair holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with concentrations in Accounting and Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Temple University School of Law.

Kevin Smith, Chief Product Officer

Kevin Smith has served as our Chief Product Officer since April 2021. Prior to joining us, Mr. Smith served as SVP, Portfolio Strategy and Operations for Carbon Black, Inc. (subsequently acquired by VMware, Inc.) from August 2018 until September 2020. Before this, Mr. Smith held various positions at CA Technologies from May 2011 to July 2018, most recently serving as VP, Business Unit Strategy for the Agile Management Division. Mr. Smith holds a B.B.A. from the College of William & Mary and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

Melanie Antoon, Senior Vice President, Professional Services

Melanie Antoon has served as our Senior Vice President, Professional Services since January 2021, after first joining us as our VP, Professional Services in November 2019. Prior to joining us, Ms. Antoon served as SVP, U.S. Operations at Inventus, LLC from August 2017 to November 2019, after first joining as its SVP, Discovery Solutions in April 2015. Prior to this, Ms. Antoon was Director of Hosting at Huron Consulting and VP, Client Services at Catalyst. Ms. Antoon holds a B.A. in psychology and women’s studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an M.S. in computer science from DePaul University.

Luke McNeal, Senior Vice President, Global Sales

Luke McNeal has served as our Senior Vice President, Global Sales since June 2021. Prior to joining us, Mr. McNeal served as Vice President, Sales at BigSpring Private Limited from March 2020 to January 2021. Before this, from February 2018 to March 2020, Mr. McNeal served as the Director of Workplace, APAC for Facebook, Inc. Prior to that position, Mr. McNeal built and led multiple sales teams at Amazon Web Services across Southeast Asia from November 2014 to February 2018. Earlier in his career, Mr. McNeal held multiple leadership roles around the world with ServiceSource International, Inc. Mr. McNeal holds a B.S. in business administration and international studies from the University of Oregon, as well as a Global M.B.A. from both the UCLA Anderson School of Management and the National University of Singapore.
